Slack Integration

Connect your Slack workspace to receive pipeline notifications in channels and direct messages. Available on Team plans and above.

Prerequisites

A CI/CD Watch account on a Team plan or above
Admin role in your CI/CD Watch team
Permission to install apps in your Slack workspace

Connecting Your Workspace

Go to Settings > Notifications
Click Connect Slack and authorise CI/CD Watch in your Slack workspace
Once connected, a welcome message is posted to your #general channel with instructions for your team

Only one Slack workspace can be connected per team. To switch workspaces, disconnect the current one first.

Channel Notifications

Route notifications to specific Slack channels based on event type. For each event, select a channel from the dropdown in Settings > Notifications:

Event	Description
Pipeline started	A new pipeline run has begun
Pipeline succeeded	A pipeline run completed successfully
Pipeline failed	A pipeline run finished with a failure
Alert triggered	A configured alert threshold was breached

Notifications include the repository name, branch, pipeline duration, and a link back to CI/CD Watch for details.

Personal Direct Messages

Individual team members can link their Slack account to receive DMs about their own builds. Once linked, you can toggle which event types you receive DMs for.

Linking your account

Open the CI/CD Watch app in Slack
Go to the Home tab
Click Connect cicd.watch account
You'll be redirected to confirm the link — once done, the App Home shows your recent builds

You can unlink your account at any time from Settings > Notifications or from the Slack App Home.

App Home

The CI/CD Watch App Home in Slack shows your most recent builds at a glance. Each entry includes the pipeline status, repository, branch, duration, and how long ago it ran. This gives you a quick overview without leaving Slack.

Disconnecting

To disconnect your Slack workspace, go to Settings > Notifications and click Disconnect. This stops all channel and DM notifications immediately. Individual user links are also removed.
